Does anyone know the backstory on this wine? The description I found online says as follows:
New York Exclusive Bottling
No where else in the world can you acquire it.
Not even available at the winery in Reims.
It was created and released in spring of 2019 to celebrate Charles Heidsieck’s first visit to New York in 1852 and the re-launching of the brand in New York 167 years later by US Ambassador Philippe André

This matches almost exactly the 2005 Rose Millesime. Is it the same wine as the vintage wine with a different label slapped on it?
Ok, nobody responded to this so I bought a few and opened one last night. Really good, a touch deep in tone signifying some age. Copper color. Fresh and very well-balanced though it started to fade a little on the second day. Still, 13 years on lees! Whether it’s the 2005 Millesime in disguise or not, what a great deal.
Drank a few glasses of the 2005 Rosé on Qatar airways a couple of weeks ago. If you can get it for around 48 schmackers, pin the ears back and buy as much as you can!!
Thanks for the heads up regarding this wine. I figured I’d buy a half case with Cyber Monday discounts because at $48 it’s significantly cheaper than the standard NV rose. It’s nice but I intended to compare it side-by-side with the NV rose. Note below
