Champagne Sabers (with a personal reccomendation) - Berserker discount

I ordered a Champagne saber from this company as a gift (I know that any good butcher knife works, but not as a gift!), and had fantastic service. I called him around 1pm Pacific, and he was still able to overnight it to me and it arrived by 10 a.m.

I got us some special pricing, but it’s not a HUGE discount - 5% off the regular price - still, his service is good enough that I’d recommend him either way. I had him setup a separate page for us with our own pricing, if you are interested.

Those are very pretty!

I got the ‘Classic wood handle’ model - it’s a pretty sweet way to open a bottle of bubbles. You, of all people, should invest in one with your newfound excellence in sabering

My butcher knife was perfect…Diane did a Bryan Flannnery on the bottle the night after Saxfest.

Meaning it was perfect. [highfive.gif]

Post Bernie I will be looking for lots of ways to treat myself, and that is certainly a cool and useless accessory I would like to have someday! BTW, Jeb Dunnuck was over the other night and brought some 2002 Dom. I had half a notion to do the sucker in then and there on my deck with a cleaver, but I decided I should practice more first on cheaper stuff…

Good plan, plus, it’s a nice conversation piece to have sitting out for people to ask about - gives you an excuse to use it!

‘Wait, what? You’ve never sabered a bottle of Champagne??’

Steve, it worked just fine, but a rusty meat cleaver makes a low grade gift, plus, I was quite pleased with how cleanly this saber worked - I sabered the first bottle with it as part of the gift. Incredibly clean results.

Doesn’t the rust add flavor to the champagne? neener

Yes, a clear note of iron

Sounds pretty awesome too. Well done stud with the clean use first try!

The right tool for the job, I guess.

After watching you and Diane do it, and receiving lots of tips from the experts at BerserkerFest Seattle, I knew how to get 'er done.

So Todd, that’s what you use when you whack off your cork?

Cold Steel has some awesome blades.

This looks like the Tanto to me. I own this knife.

so, i have to show my work and credit my expert teacher, ray, who honestly taught me everything i know:

and i did it with a little meat cleaver, folks

Does the deal come with a free visit to one of our Beserker plastic surgeons ?

I almost needed one after Diane sabered her bottle…my eye was in the way
