CellarTracker

Look, I know I’m deadhorse but I just have to say that I love CellarTracker. I’ve had an account for years but have just started actually using it. And it’s AWESOME. I loved keeping a handwritten log of my wine (felt very Thomas Jefferson about it), but now that I’ve got more than a couple dozen bottles and am using offsite storage as well as my home wine fridge it’s just unmanageable. But CT, the features… the organization… EXCELLENT, and certainly more thorough than I was able to do on my own. Love all the data tracking, how instantaneous it is, and the community aspects. Well done, Eric. This is a great website.

And this just in: Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead…

Thank you so much!!!

And just wait until we get our mobile site out too. (Today we deployed some of the major plumbing we will be using Label/Profile Image Updates and New Technology Stack which is only really meaningful to us but still a harbinger of more goodness to come.)

If there’s probably one thing we can all agree upon, it’s that CT is awesome. Though I’m still using the “Classic Mode,” as the new version seems to take too many steps to do the few things I do on there (look up tasting notes, add and delete wine from my inventory).

I’m going to assume there is a very high likelihood that, in turn, is because I just haven’t taken the time to figure out the right way to go about things on the new site, or because I’m an idiot, but anyways . . .

[A mobile site would be fantastic!]

Chris, if you haven’t had a chance, please watch this:

I’ll chime in here and say I really like the new site. Completely user friendly to a techno idiot like myself.

Love CT and Can’t wait for the mobile! Any eta on when it will debut?

Andy, today was an important internal milestone on the road to a new site. Our hope is to have an alpha version out soon. Now that we have our new “stack” in use, we can get down to really fleshing that out. We already have hundreds of hours into finished wireframes and designs. You can see a teeny bit of that here: Redirecting...

And this just in: apparently Dalluge is not dead! Just hiding?

Watch Eric’s video! I’ve been using the new site for a while and I still learned a couple of very useful tips.

Is that a cockapoo in the photo? Whatever breed it is the dog is adorable.
Oh, yes. I’m still learning some of the tricks of the new CT but I like the bulk edit for where wine is located, etc.

That is Dan’s Cavapoo (Cavalier King St. Charles and a Poodle) – and she is an adorable little wiggler.

The other CellarTracker dog is a Black Standard Poodle.

Yeah I kinda sucked at the transition too but after I spent a few weeks flailing, it really is a much more efficient interface.

CT is absolutely fantastic. champagne.gif

Agree that it’s a great site that the new interface has made even better. I still find myself however switching back to Classic Mode for one reason: it allows me to see where I bought the wine and when immediately. I haven’t figured out a way to make that information show up either on the full page format of the wine nor on the right panel—in both cases I have to click on Purchased for a new window.

On the page for a wine click HIDE SIDE PANEL. Please watch the video above…

Chris - I was in exactly the same boat. Could not for the life of me figure out why Eric would screw up such a great site in such a bad way. Then I actually used the new site. champagne.gif I’m sold. Wouldn’t ever go back to the old site. Especially when entering new purchases, the new site is so much more intuitive and saves steps.

Great video. I was unaware of the great “add new wine” functionality on the new site, even though I have been using the new site for a long time.

You had a non-default setting turned on to hide all purchases with a price of $0 and a store of “Unknown”. I toggled it for you to show the purchase all the time.

Hey man, I admitted to it not being news…

Looking forward to the mobile overhaul!
