Just curious. How many apps do you have suspended in the background?
It does the same thing if I close all other apps. It still does that whole state refresh on toggle. Sometimes it does a double refresh, which you can see here, but it doesn’t always do that.
Not much, if it’s clearly in a “related results” section. I just find “no exact matches” as a clear result to a query to be an informative answer to a query that I can use well.
Oh. It’s an android. It’s you. Not the app. Search is quick on my iPhone 13. Doesn’t refresh when I move between apps.
It’s not android, it’s Andrewoid. When I search on my Pixel the results are quick. When I go to another app, make changes, then come back to CT New, the search screen is at the exact place I scrolled to previously. Of course, I am not coming back an hour later, only a few minutes later.
Androids are great with memory usage. They are known for it.
What I notice is that the service is connected on 4G.
Whatever it is, if its only AK seeing the issue, its likely not a CT problem unless he’s doing one particular thing others are not.
I mean, you can see exactly what’s happening in the video. Not sure how it would only do that for my phone, but it could be an Android version specific issue.
I can replicate this on my Android. It only happens in my cellar searches, not in global searches. I sent a bug report. Your 4G makes does make this worse - on WiFi, the refresh is almost unnoticeable.
for someone always telling us how much wine he buys, can’t even get that 5g sheesh
CT is so poorly designed I can’t even get it on my Razr!
You are much fancier than me. My first cell phone, in 1987, was one of theses (it was powered by a VCR battery…).
I haven’t used it as much as some of you, but I’ve found the performance on the new app to be noticeably faster than the older app.

The 10 open tabs of onlyfans is video intensive and hogs memory…
… so i’m told…
Andrewoid,
After trying cellar search instead of universal search it did the same thing. The wheel spun for about a second - not too annoying - but going back to the first row truly is annoying!
It’s been interesting playing around with the new app. And while it seems smoother to use than the old app, the one big dislike for me is just how much space each wine takes on the screen, with two wines taking up the whole screen pretty much always. Would love to see a compact mode/setting that makes it easier to browse through a large selection of wines
Is anyone else having a problem on iOS beta with characters going in out of order on the “in my cellar” search bar?
I type “b-a-r-o-l“ and get “b-a-r-l*o” with cursor placed at the location of the asterisk
I’m a fast typist but can repeatedly cause this glitch and see that I am hitting the characters in order. Also, there’s no typo explanation for the cursor winding up behind a letter
I know it is a lot to ask to read the thread. But my last post addressed this very topic. Two days ago. I guess I will post these links for, now, I think the 10th time on the thread…
We are gathering feedback here:
And we have already published a roadmap with a documented intent to add a COMPACT view.
10,000 users. One year of beta. I have never seen a report of this. Please do let us know if you can reproduce and actually report a bug on our feedback site instead of a random bulletin board…
Thanks, Eric. Good to know that it is new. I will report it.
quite a dis.
