$110. That price hurts. I paid it recently but it was a bit painful.
It’s okay. They only have 1 bottle.
I’d gladly pay it but alas they don’t ship to my zip code
Paid $70 at a local merchant today #blessed

You’re welcome
Made it just in time, I think. Gone 30 seconds after I ordered. There were 10 bottles when I started my order, got 3 bottles. After my order, looked at the page again, said 1 bottle left, in 30 seconds, that lone bottle was gone as well.
Looks like this is pushing through, got the FedEx ship notice yesterday. Funny thing is that I emailed them to request a hold, but the Zachy’s person told me that there was no way to hold, only to cancel and “re-place your order when the weather is suitable for you.” Sheesh, such good customer service…

Cedric Bouchard makes miniscule quantities in the best of years, but does anyone have any info on the 2017’s production numbers?
2017 production:
Val Vilaine - ~5,000 bottles
Ursules - 2,800 bottles, 400 magnums
Boloree - 600 bottles
Le Creux d’Enfer - 200 bottles
I haven’t seen production numbers for LHL, Presle, or Bechalin.

Thanks. Sounds like production was down quite a bit for 2017. I think Val Vilaine is usually around 9000 bottles, La Boloree ~1000 bottles, Le Creux d’Enfer ~500 bottles. That’s not going to help with pricing.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a VV yield as high as 9,000 bottles. I think it typically ranges from 4,000-6,000 bottles/year, depending on yields in a given vintage.

Finally arrived (2 days delayed), despite the shipment going through some cold weather, bottles look fine. I had no idea what vintage this was going to be (just said NV in Zachy’s website). They are the 2019’s with the new label.

In a typical vintage: VV is 4000-5000, Bechalin is ~2000, Presle is 700-800. I either didn’t take down or didn’t ask the numbers on the others, but I believe Creux d’Enfer rose is also more on the order of 180-250 bottles, not 500.

Makes me feel better about missing it. I thought it could be super back vintage based on the label on the website.

Thanks for the clarification. I was just reading it off of some retail websites.

Isn’t 2019 Champagne supposed to be spectacular?

Yeah, but not the point of his post.

Correct—I already have a case of ‘19

Quite OT - but is a case of champagne usually 6 bottles or 12? I have always been used to thinking it was 6 bottles, but always had some doubt that I was wrong.

I think a case may be 6–that is at least the size for Bouchard. So I guess I have two cases.
Yup Bouchard ships in six bottle cases
Thanks all, my knowledge in Champagne is average compared to other regions, all of the brands I have had so far all came in 6-pack cases/boxes so I just assumed that in Champagne 6 bottles is the standard case / box. Dom P., Comtes Taittinger, Cedric Bouchard, to name a few all came in 6 bottle boxes. Might have to do something with the extra weight I supposed?
