Cedric Bouchard

Looks like the VV sold through at Woodland at $145

Appears that they (smartly) limit it to 1 bottle per purchase as there is still availability on their site. Love when retailers have the goods, price it well and limit people from cleaning them out!

Wine is meant to be shared, enjoyed, and consumed by people who love it - rock on Vinylwine! [dance-clap.gif]

Most definitely. Just called and confirmed. Good on them.

Obviously not sitting that long. It is gone off the site. [wow.gif]

I’d been buying these wines for over a decade but got “priced out” when the '11 VV crept over $70/btl. If anyone is not depressed enough already from this thread, go to Zachys auction site and search “Cedric Bouchard” at the March 31-April 6, 2021 Hong Kong zCollection (https://auction.zachys.com/catalog.aspx?auctionid=49). I was fortunate to snag a case of the '15 VV for $543 all in. Sure I had to wait 18 months for tariff-free boat delivery, but what a great wine. I plowed through a few bottles over the holidays but after reading this thread, and seeing what they sell for now, I will be more cautious with the rest. If I could go back in time, I would back up the truck at that Zachys auction.

Hahaha hindsight always 20:20

I blame this thread. It sat for well over a week. neener

Yes but they came from Hong Kong. They are likely fake. Don’t think Rudy doesn’t read Willian Kelley and still get the electronic Wine Advocate [rofl.gif]

Some more 2019 VV for anyone who wants it: 2019 Cedric Bouchard Roses de Jeanne Blanc de Noirs Cote de Val Vilaine, Champagne, France

none in stock…

Made it just in time, I think. Gone 30 seconds after I ordered. There were 10 bottles when I started my order, got 3 bottles. After my order, looked at the page again, said 1 bottle left, in 30 seconds, that lone bottle was gone as well.

bottles still showing as available…

but can’t add to cart

Wow, Zachys coming in with the best price in the nation, I hope everybody only ordered 1 bottle [rofl.gif]

I’m a firm believer in good old American “supply and demand” determining the price. On the one hand I wouldn’t be all that put off if the price on the Val Vilaine were over $100. Certainly worth it, IMO. And it would perhaps leave more on the table for those willing to pay the tariff without complaining.

I essentially agree but we should also wish for much of the increase to go to the producer, not the middle man.
