Interesting that shipping is not included this year as it has been in the past many years in addition to the price per bottle increase. So really the prices have increased more that just $5, $30, and $50 per bottle factoring in shipping costs now.
Having said that, I’ll still purchase as not too many of the Cabs I’ve been following over the past 10-15 years and enjoy remain under $200, let alone $300.
Yep, I still did a mixed six pack (no Cemetery, though). The all-in price increase on the Regusci worked out to 38% over last year. If there’s another increase in the next year or two, I may just have to bow out.
I’m going to pass for now due to the price increase, minimum order quantity, and shipping costs added. I will be visiting in a week so I plan on buying a a few cemetery then as long as it isn’t a 6 bottle requirement.
So you’re paying about $60 for an excellent Cab rather than $50 three vintages ago. What’s not to like? I do get how some are bummed by + shipping costs on the high priced wines though.
I’m pretty sure that the fruit from Cemetery Vineyard will be going to Vida Valiente. That’s the new project from Sam Kaplan and Hayes from Memento Mori.
Yeah I’ve been a buyer for quite some time but this year it was certainly a tougher decision with the significant bottle cost increase and shipping. I did bite the bullet but not sure I continue justifying a purchases on the single vineyards as the prices climb
