Cam X Wine Company

Diamond Creek doesn’t make (to my knowledge) a second label and Cam definitely doesn’t imply this is their bottling blend, so presume we’re talking about barrels that didn’t make the cut…but I’m having a hard time thinking of another label that would fit the (minimal) clues given.

Has anyone out there that has received any of these wines tried them? I am eleven cases in on blind faith and trust in Cam.

For me at $299 he has to give us more information. At least to the point that we can trick ourselves into thinking it is really from a legendary winery.
Pin the tail on the donkey has to be sub $200 to take a flyer.

Just my philosophy…ymmv

Diamond Mountain Vineyards has been bulking out a lot recently.

14 was gold, 19 is a light blue (close to white)

Both Cab Sauv?

Good call. If they don’t make a 2nd/entry-level wine, then I think that’s a solid guess too!

The description seems reminiscent of N.40

Or maybe the same descriptors are applicable to most wines from this area.

Back in the day, DN#40 and #242 were guessed as Constant, and Dyer respectively. Both were/are delicious. Neither lines up here with the price. Random / leftover barrels of DC sounds like a solid guess.

The guessing is half the fun.

Went to buy a six pack of 24 and it is sold out

try again … I just checked and it does not seem to be sold out in 6s or 12s

It looks like all the wines I checked are showing 4 cases available to add to my cart. I bought 1, refreshed, and could still add 4 cases of 24 to my cart…

I tried again and four cases were available, someone must have had four in their cart. Now to get 6 or 12?

He is trustworthy. He put out literally 100s of lots w/ previous label de Negoce and the VAST majority of people thought the VAST majority of the releases were phenomenal QPRs. Trust away. (Also he stands behind everything).

Skipping this release, seems amazing though. I need to REALLY hold back or I will have a problem when these ship and I have no place to put them.

EDIT: Lot 2 is also a bottling blend

This seems like a good candidate for a sixer. Any opinion on whether 2, 7, 13 or 15 is the best six pack to add to get free shipping?

BTW Lot 14 description is live on the Cam X site (not a founding member)

I’d vote for 2 or 7. 2, even though it’s 2022, sounds like a super sexy cab. 7 is probably Paul Hobbs Coombsville and that’ll also be good.
