Cam X Wine Company

Doesn’t that just sorta say 11 of 12 wines he recently purchased from 2023 are from one producer? Not that first 12 lots will work out that way. Either way, from the horses mouth, he says that was WineVIP.

To me…the more I look at that, makes me think that eventually we’ll see more wines related to the Lot 10 selection. That’s how I read that.

Glad to see 10/12 direct.
I re-upped, and my CamX haul so far is 2 cs each of 1,3,5,10,12. (8 cs from the retailer and 2 direct)

Yes, and some (e.g. Lot 7) of the 11 lots he has blended together (assuming Lot 7 is 2 of those 11 wines).

I read that as the same language he used in the Lot 10 sale. Lot 7 is definitely Hobbs and there was no mention of the lot codes in that write-up. Seems like we’ll see more of the Lot 10 producer at some point. Keep your eyes out for more wines that have a producer with a Coombsville Estate to overlap?

“Program names are built into their lot codes.” Here is an example of Covert barrel which says this is their 2020 Coombsville Estate Clone 341. I assume this is what is meant by those words. So if it’s not Covert, it’s a producer like them who literally has specific program names on the lot code of the barrel when he’s pulling his selection.

I believe the board’s consensus on Lot 11 was Ramey. I mostly agree with each of these guesses, but not fully convinced on Lot 10 & Lot 12. Thanks for putting this together - much more accurate than the camxcellar site!

Where is the Cam Trucking Company? In for a case of 12.

As mentioned previously, I think the biggest question mark around Lot 10 is ‘which vineyard’ is the estate vineyard that’s referenced? Most guesses (like Covert) have assumed it’s the Coombsville vineyard. If it’s Stagecoach, on the other hand, then that would mean Gallo is the producer. A producer of Gallo’s size is very likely to A) have enough SKUs where Cam could select ‘11 of 12’ and B) may need to build program names into lot codes due to the sheer number of lots they work with. Or, alternatively (and much more likely), we’re all completely off base.

This is very reasonable.

I am a FM and tried to place my first order (lot 12) using the gift card on the CAMX site. Did not work. Reached out to customer service, but have not heard back yet. Any advice from this group?

Sign in to your account, go to orders, see the gift card, click “resend gift card”.

Then go to check out your wine, there is a box for promo card/gift card, and copy paste your 16 digit code.

Hope this works,
Cam (Matt T)

Thank you Cam / Matt. Worked like a charm!

I did not see a way to specify summer hold, but that may be automatic for now.

Re: Summer Hold
This was in a Cam mail on the 5th

and couple of important notes to remember:

  1. Summer Hold is Automatic : anything you purchase will be placed on a FREE SUMMER HOLD.
  2. All of the wines ARE BOTTLED ; however, we are labeling them in coming weeks.
  3. Once everything is labeled, you will receive an email at which time you can (A)continue to hold the wine or (B) have it shipped to you, weather permitting.

There really needs to be a FAQ on the OP.

We are so back, I’m ready to pobega lot 12.

Pobega?
I’m really hope for a local pick-up option.
FedEx to my local Walgreens works so very, very well!
Otherwise, I’m tethered to the house, hoping that it will arrive all day long……:upside_down_face:

Pobega means opening a bottle right off the truck … or in your case, on the way home from Walgreen’s
reference to Berserker Mike (I think) Pobega

The $1,000 gift card did not last long.

My gift card is still quite charged, but that’s because I was diligent in patronizing the WineVIP retail shop.

I like the Faust guess for 10 because de negociant has it listed as N.01 guess. I rescind this guess. I’m all in on Gallo.

Well, I’m not sure what part of :

With great numbers comes great responsibility! So, how about some Mountain Muscle?

Legendary Hillside vineyard? Check.
Insider blocks? Check.
90% new French oak? Check.
$200+/bottle price point? Check.
Producer bottling blend? Check.

Showcasing a combination of hillside meets mountain power, Lot 10 2023 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a huge, ripe, muscular combination of meaty yet high-toned Coombsville fruit (58%) blended with 42% of some of the Cabernet best blocks from the massive “vineyard that must not be named” that straddles Atlas Peak to Pritchard Hill

Fits any description for Faust…
