Slight difference in oak treatment, barrel provider, score, and price. But agree close.
Uhm,
Cameron’s cellar Mikko. LOL
Cheers, Tim
What about Sangiacomo Roberts Road? Similar pricing etc.

I think they would have made a point to mention James MacPhail more than just being a neighbor. Did they release their 2024s? Not sure Sangiacamo would count as up and coming either.
The cellartracker picture is of a 2023 - makes me think a mistaken entry by someone.
Great find! All but confirms it my view.
Not familiar with the winery, but in for a sixer regardless - can do much worse than that for $15
Agreed. Also, looking just at the two barrels he is standing in front of in this video, the top is Remond and the bottom is Rousseau, which are 2 of the 3 mentioned in the description. Case closed; buying a case.
And I did exactly that (sixers of lots 20 & 21). Thank you, sir. So great to have you back.
I guess it could be Vaughn Duffy. I really don’t see that they make a lot of wine considering Cam is selling 150 cases. Looks like their Sangiacamo (Petaluma) and Ueberroth (Petaluma) combined would be a total of 150 cases in 2023, so they’d have to have scaled up quite a bit or sold all of their single vineyard wine for a pittance. I’m not sure I buy this guess aside from the barrels and prices. If it’s to work, the guess hinges on a huge scale up in production and them selling off 50% or more of it to Cam. Not sure there’s a lot of super small producers that do that.
What I like most about the guess is assuming Cam is in Kenwood?..these guys are there too. And they sell that WE multi-pack with scores that match. That is suggestive.
I know a PO box doesn’t constitute residence, but can “neighbor” mean next to my business office and not necessarily home?
I would assume he means winery neighbor
Lot 20 - 2024 Vaughn Duffy Ueberroth Pinot (production volume mismatch) or Sojourn (not up-and-coming, mostly 93/94 points)
Suffice to say, this is what we got. I think the Vaughn Duffy is actually a pretty good guess reading up on it. Primarily because this was a new-ish vineyard, it would make sense the early production was a bit lower. I will say, given that, seems like it’s a good winemaker but the vineyard was planted in 2020, first production came from 2023. I’d say you are getting 4 year old vineyard wine here. Still, at the price, no one gonna complain and based on the producer, sounds good.
The AI bots at Cam X Cellars say Cattelya or Ernest for lot 20.
(New here, hi)
Interestingly, I was just reading up on Dalla Valle a couple of days ago, and it looks like they managed a (Robert Parker) 100-point Cab Sav after just 5 years ('87-'92). Not saying VD will be like this, but it made me a little hopeful it’ll still be good stuff.
That doesn’t include the 100 cases worth they put into the Petaluma Blend from Ueberroth and 50 from Sangiacamo in 2023 (Product - Vaughn Duffy Wines). Possible they ended up with extra from it being a young vineyard, or maybe they want to go with a different direction for the blend this year. Or a combination of both.
Also, I think the first production was 2021 and I’m not very worried about the vineyard age - 2023 got a 93 in WE and Sojurn’s 2023 also got good scores. Enough for me to BUTT. I’m now at 3 from various Cam X wines, the UPS guy is going to be very unhappy.
You’re at 3 trucks from CamX? That’s a lot!
FIFY
Don’t get me wrong, it is a ridiculous value and I think it’ll be quite good. And it’s Lot 20, so there’s that.
David,
Yep, that precisely why I ordered 2 cases of X#20!
The fact that I was on top of my favorite Mountain adds to my confidence.
Same lucky mountain where I ordered Lot 300 | 2019 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.
It’s been good luck, so far so good.
I feel like since it’s his neighbor and it’s a newer winery makes it all the more likely he gave Cam his entire production to handle and sell.
