Cam, about that styrofoam …

Long-time purchaser (bought dN 01 then SO much more, X FM who has already spent all his credits, etc. all thanks to Matt, but I digress), first time asking a favor: I really hate the styrofoam packaging. It’s not so much that I am a militant environmentalist (though I lean a bit that direction) but where I live we are allowed one trashcan that I can put styrofoam in and one recycle bin where I cannot. We also have a recycle center nearby but they won’t take styrofoam. I just can’t fit more than one case of styrofoam in my trash and even then it takes room that I need for other real trash, and I am prone to ordering multiple cases so the situation is hopeless. Please consider changing back. I understand styrofoam might be better for the wine especially in the heat but the trade-off favors the older style for me.

Down to the last bottles of that delightful dN L 229 Red Mountain 2019 Mourvedre/Syrah wine. Originally $132 case plus shipping and then it became available once again for $96/case during a ‘moving day’ sale. This was our son’s all time favorite dN wine over the past few years. I wonder if we will ever see such again from the CAM X Wine Company? Maybe we’ll possibly see this when The Négociant venture reappears.

Maybe I misunderstood, but I got the sense that The Negociant is now just gonna be CamX, right? Seems like that website redirects now to CamXwine.com anyways. I imagine we’ll be seeing everything under the CamX label going forward. And yeah, I think we’ll see other wines here and there, more and more, as time goes on. But I’m not surprised to see so many 2023 Cabs. I think those will sell very well in this market. And I think pinot and chard will do well, but clearly he’s known for cab.

Agreed! I would love to see some Washington and Oregon wines. I may be in the minority, but I’d also love to see more Syrah, Tempranillo, Grenache, and Merlot. Cabs aren’t my go to most nights.

I just checked the Cam X website and found lot 21 is still $169 after 4 days of their sale. Noticed also that they now have $1,980 / case listed as the retail price.
