Hi Jeremy and all, a wine group friend has mentioned that his daughter is off to the Barossa next March and is looking for a vineyard that can do a tasting and lunch for 18 people. My Barossa knowledge dates back many years so will be useless now, but I would have been struggling to think of a place that could offer both for that size of group. Would anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance…Mark
Hi Mark,
I would try somewhere like David Franz Wines just out of Tanunda. Dave Lehmann who runs it, is a ripper bloke and makes excellent wines. His cellar door is excellent and he does decent food. It is small so they would probably have to book the place out.
Cheers
Jeremy
Thanks so much for that Jeremy,
Visiting a smaller place and chatting to the bloke who is hands on there would be so much more interesting and educative than the ‘curated experience’ at one of the bigger wineries.
Cheers…Mark
PS: Is it still $25 to mail Repast to NZ? I got your latest email recently but I find that the freight makes it costly (I live in Dunedin…it’s a Scottish town with short arms and deep pockets so to speak).
International freight is expensive mate. There is an e-version available.
