  • 1- 2014 Blanc de Blanc

We are once again offering our two extremely limited production Brut Zero Blanc de Blancs from Anderson Valley. Please check out our website for the story on this exciting project. It’s 100% Wente clone Chardonnay, from old vines, dry farmed and meticulously managed by our own Casey Hartlip. Aged 6 and 8 years sur lie, no oak was employed nor dosage added to these sparkling wines. The 2016 has fresh bread dough and citrus on the nose with green apple skin and grandma’s lemon curd on the palate, exhibiting laser like focus. It’s long and luxurious, yet has wonderful structure and acidity. It will age effortlessly for 20-30 years. The 2014, from the same vines, is a bit softer with golden delicious apple, almond, and Meyer lemon. It has nice brioche throughout from 8 years on the lees. It will age well into the next two decades.

Old and aged Cabernet and Friends- $100

  • 2004 Confluence, Old Mill vineyard, Humboldt County- This was our first “Confluence blend” from our origional vineyard, Old Mill. The vines were organically farmed and own rooted. Picked at an average of 24.2 brix, it is 13.8%, this blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, is aging really well. This has taken on nice secondary characters from 20 years in the bottle. Dark fruits are still plush, with nice remaining acidity and resolved tannin structure. We pulled out the last three cases of this in our storage and I’m offering the last 36 btls in this pack. Aged 24 months in neutral French oak.

  • 2008 Klamath Cuvee, Humboldt County- 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 25% Syrah. This was intended to be the 2008 Confluence. We made this similar blend in past years, but we weren’t able to access the fruit of the three vineyards this blend was sourced from, going forward. The Cabernet was from a tiny, half acre 20 year old vineyard, right next to our estate vineyard. The Merlot was from our Old Mill vineyard. The Syrah was from “Henderson Hill” vineyard i helped a friend plant just up river from us in 2001.

  • 2010 Confluence, Pierce Ranch- 40% Cabernet Franc, 20% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, 8% Petite verdot- This wine has been so fun to watch evolve. It has remarkably youthful for its 15 year age. 2010 was a very cool fall in Humboldt. The grapes from the “Ishi Pishi” Pierce ranch, came in with lower than normal sugar levels (22-23 brix). along with the bright red and purple fruits, It has an interesting sun dried, Early girl tomato flavor, wet cement, black currant, bing cherry, with a bit of an herby finish. This still feels like a baby of a wine and will age easily for a decade or more.

Chardonnay 3 Pack- $85

These Chardonnays were an experimental lot made for personal and family consumption. only 22 cases of each were made and were offering the remaining bottles to you. These are from the Lost Coast vineyard, in Petrolia, Ca. It’s a cold, windswept site just 2.8 miles from the ocean, dry farmed, 20 year old vines.

  • 2017 Lost Coast - aged 24 months in Neutral Damy French oak. It’s very white Burgundy in style with lemon, saline, mineral, and medium plus acid. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. Has a very fine layer of lees which contributes to the aromatics and texture of these Chardonnays. 13.2% alc.
  • 2017 Humboldt - Same fruit, and treatment, yet only 12 months in barrel. More Chablis like in character.
  • 2015 Lost Coast - Slightly warmer year than 17 but still 13.2% alcohol and bringing nice minerality, and Burgundy like character

Viognier 3 Pack- $80

These 3 Viogniers are all from the Lost Coast vineyard and recieved three seperate treatments. All bottled unfined and unfiltered.

  • 2015 Viognier, Humboldt- Aged in a 10 year old Damy French barrel for 18 months. Classic Lychee, honeysuckle, dried peach. long finish
  • 2015 Viognier, Lost Coast- Aged in a 3 yr old Hungarian Barrel for 18 months
  • 2015 Viognier, Full Skin Contact- Destemmed and fermented on the skins for 7 days then finished in a neutral French barrel for 18 months. This is a bit more full on with a big perfumed nose of honeysuckle, lychee and candied orange rind. The palate is quite dry with peach skin, orange marmalade, and a distinct white pepper finish.

New Pinot Pack- $90

  • 2- 2021 Pinot Noir- Humboldt County
The 2021 Humboldt Is a blend of clones 777, 115, and Pommard 2 from the 2001 planting at Elk Prairie vineyard in southern Humboldt, above Avenue of the giants. the 21 is bright and juicy with its red cherry, strawberry, citrus and woodsy spice. The acidity and structure of this blend will ensure a long life on this one. 13.8% alc
  • 1- 2022 Pinot Noir- Elk Prairie
This 2022 Elk Prairie is a blend of the Dijon clones and the old Martini selection planted in 1993. 2022 was an extremely low yielding vintage due to the rains during bloom. We harvested around a half ton per acre, but the fruit was fantastic and the fall was beautiful, warm, even, and long. Harvested on Oct 26th, at 24.5 brix, this Pinot has concentrated, bright cherry, raspberry and pomegranate fruits to it, with the classic orange peel, hints of lemon, graham cracker, and forest floor. Classic Elk Prairie. aged 20 months in 3 yr old French oak. Only 70 cases produced 13.6% alc

Aged Pinot Pack 3 pack- $90

  • 2017 Humboldt County- 60% Lost Coast vineyard, 40% Elk Prairie
  • 2017 Lost Coast vineyard
  • 2016 Anderson Valley- Day Ranch Valley Foothills vineyard

Lost Coast vineyard, planted in 1998, is 2.8 miles miles from the ocean in Petrolia, Humboldt county. The volcanic soils and strong cold winds control vigor and make for small yields of thick skins. The Pinots from this site are very woodsy, with forest floor, mushroom and spice on the nose. They’re structured but very light in texture, with bright strawberry, and cherry. This is cold climate Pinot. The 17 vintage was picked Oct. 22nd, beautifully ripe at 22.5 brix, 13.2% alc.

Elk Prairie was planted in 1993 to the Martini clone with the intention of making sparkling wine, as southern Humboldt was a pretty cold wet place to ripen red Pinot. In 1998 an additional 4 acres we’re planted to French clones 115, 777, and pommard 2. This vineyard is dry farmed and situated just above the fog line 8.5 miles from the Pacific in the Fruitland ridge area in Southern Humboldt.

The 2016 Anderson Valley is from the Valley Foothills vineyard, in the deep, cool end of the valley. It was farmed by our own Casey Hartlip. It’s bright and juicy, no new oak, with nice spice and woodsy character.

Newer Zin 3 pack- $80

  • 2018 Zinfandel Humboldt
Our 2018 ZInfandel Humboldt was a year marked by thick skins and smaller berries. The summer was quite warm, yet led into a cool, long fall. This 18 has really interesting character. I liken it to a Carignan based southern Rhone, while Brigg Campbell describes it as a southern Italian style. “like a Nerello Macalese, or a southern Italian Pinot Noir, Sangiovese blend”. It has firm structure, with nice sandle wood, strawberry, cherry, and dry leaves. 13.8% alc 91.3 pts CT

  • 2019 Zinfandel, Humboldt
This 2019 ZInfandel has a really clean, pure raspberry nose, with a savory, high acid, red fruited profile. Its lower alcohol and bright acid make it juicy and light, yet with rich fruit flavor. I love these 19s. They are what ive always strived to produce and show the capability of ZInfandel, picked at much lower sugar levels, to produce stunning varietal character and a long agibilty potential. 13.6% alc 125 cases produced

  • 2019 Zinfandel, Marier- 90% Zin 10% Viognier co fermented
Beautiful nose of raspberry, citrus and white flowers. Clean flavors or red raspberry, cherry, and alpine strawberry. The floral note comes through on the palate from the 10% Viognier co ferment. This has nice acidity and is light, yet full of bright fruit. Theres a bit of pomegranette to it as well, and a nice long finish. 13.8% alc 92 pts CT 75 cases produced

2016 ZIn 3 pack- $80

  • 2016 Zinfandel- Humboldt
Has nice fragrant aromas of red and blacks fruits, garden herbs, and a nice floral component. Rich and smooth dark fruits, with a bit of tar. The finish is brambly and intense, with a firm back bone and nice acidity keeping this ZIn fresh and alive at 10 yrs old. 90.5 pts CT

  • 2016 ZInfandel- Tributary, Marier Vineyard
This is 85% Zinfandel, 10% Syrah. and 5% Viognier, co-fermented with native yeast.
This years Trib is juicy, vibrant, and savory from the 30% stem inclusion. It has nice red and black fruits, savory spices, black pepper, smoked meats, and nice minerality. Definitely give this one some air or an overnight decant to coax its best flavors. It is still quite young and structured, hinting at its potential for further aging a decade or more. 93 pts CT

  • 2016 Zinfandel- Marier Vineyard
This Marier ZIn was fermented whole cluster, giving it great structure and savory spice. Has nice brambly fruit, stone fruit, earthy, and peppery. It has our classic Humboldt floral component, inhanced by the stem inclusion. Its smooth cassis, licorice, and some blackberry are firm and have nice backbone. This is aging well and will continue for quite some years to come. 92 pts CT

  • 2018 Cabernet Franc, Marier
  • 2016 “The Hills” Cuvee, Marier

The tiny bit of Viognier freshens the finish. Our 2019 Marier ZInfandel is bright red fruited, co-femeneted with 10% Viognier and has medium plus acidity

The 2009 Le du Comte is a joint project with Larry Schaffer from Tercero winery in Los Olivos. This cuvee is 50% Estate Syrah, 25% Grenache- Camp 4 vineyard, and 25% Syrah- Thompson Vineyard. Its really starting to shine after 12 years of bottle age.

New Syrah Pack- $90

  • 2- 2021 Kimberlys
  • 1- 2019 Humboldt

We finally pleased to release our much anticipated 2021 Kimberlys Syrah. This, objectively, is our best to date. It is a throwback to the 2006 version, which produced the “one barrel, bacon fat”. Its concentrated, yet has such impecable balance. The acidity carries the dense boysenberry and black raspberry fruit. It has loads of bacon fat, pan drippings, country baked ham and white pepper. The finish is over a minute long and is extremely luxurious. I couldnt imagine it being much better. Aged 22 months in mostly neutral French oak. 14.2% alc. Enjoy!
The 2019 Humboldt was from a cooler fall. It is more Cornas in Character with its red fruits, ollive brine, a bit of iodine, and black pepper. It too has nice concentration but feels lighter on its feet. Its a blend of our estate “winery block” and our Marier vineyard. Aged 30 months in Neutral French oak. 13.8% alc

Old ZIn 3 pack- $80

These are from the dry farmed head pruned vines in the old Mill vineyard i planted in 1998, and the 2009 Tributary ZIn is from the “ishi Pishi” Pierce ranch in Orleans.

  • 2004 ZInfandel, Humboldt - Fully into the stage of secondary and tertiary aromas and flavors with graphite, pencil lead, amd red currant. still holding its bright Zinny fruit, the palate is still really nice with red cherry and candied orange rind. Finish is long. Still bright and very clean
  • 2007 Zinfandel Tributary- Old Mill vineyard
  • 2009 Zinfandel Tributary- Pierce Ranch
These two Tributary blends show how well Zinfandel can age and turn into a very complex multilayered wine. These two still have nice red fruit and good concentration but now resemble aged Brunello or Montepulciano in character. its been fun watching them mature and they are now all in their drinking window, for those who like complex, aged ZIns.

Thank you so much for your consideration and support over the years.

Hello @John_Cabot - when adding 1x 6-pack, and 2x 3-packs to make 1 case, shipping is showing up as $50 - is that correct? Trying to figure out if I am reading your offer correctly. Thanks!

Yes thats correct Sarah. I raised the price of the Syrah 6 pack by $10 so i could hust do $10 per pack. Shipping has gotten crazy expensive.. That being said ive lowered a lot of the prices to compensate for the shipping cost.

Thank you again, especially for the library offers!

My pleasure Brian!

Order in! 1x Syrah 6-pack, 1x Marier 3-pack, and 1x 2016 Zin 3-pack. Thanks for the awesome BD17 offer @John_Cabot! We have loved the opportunity to buy wines with a little more age on them.

In for the aged Syrah pack. Thank you.

the aged Cabot Syrah is such a no-brainer I can’t even tell you, and I’m just surprised any still exists to sell.

@John_Cabot you’ve been sharing how excited you are about your new wines, a passion I haven’t seen in you since the WAY beginning of WB…which ones, in particular?

Well, the 2021 Kimberlys Syrah is the most exciting wine ive made ever. The 2019 Zins are what ive always dreamt Zin could be, and the 2022 Elk Prairie Pinot is so freaking gorgeous and “perfect”.
