Cabo San Lucas - Restaurants & Baja Wine

Any suggestion to check out while there for a week and staying within the confines of the city and the beach hotels?

Looking forward to amazing seafood so hit me up if you have some suggestions!

Bonus points for any cool Baja Mexican wine related stuff.

La Lupita Taco and Mezcal
Casual, fun. They had a band, drinks are good. Tacos are the real deal. The beef tongue is a must have

The Baja wine is meh. It’s local, it perfectly fine. Goes with the food. I didn’t run into an upper tier. It all kinda seemed the same and at a daily drinker level. Maybe others know more. The Baja beer is pretty good too

Thanks Tony

We just returned from two weeks at the O&O Palmilla. Not our first rodeo and we avoid San Lucas, preferring to eat in San Jose. Our favorites over the years are:

La Lupita Tacos y Mezcal, mentioned above. Opened a second location in San Lucas in 2019. The best thing on the menu is the cheapest: Santo Pastor. Crazy Mezcal selection, which is right in my wheelhouse.

Carbon Cabron. Killer charcoal food and drinks. Eat a T-Rex for two and Carbon Vegetal, the world’s best onion.

Choriarte. Argentinian cooking with great Baja ingredients. Eat the pig for two or the steak for two.

Lumbre. Elevated modern Mexican cooking. They recently opened a sushi restaurant, which we haven’t yet visited.

Don Sanchez. Relocated across the street from their first location. Beautiful space and excellent, creative cuisine.

Flora Farms. We only go when there are more than two of us. Fun, not really Mexican, farm to table.

Its been a while but Don Sanchez used to have a retail wine shop in the restaurant with some interesting bottles
