Apologies for the self promotion but I though some of you might have interest. I just released my podcast episode with Tom. We discuss his history, some of the vineyards he farms and sources from, his thoughts on making California sparkling wines and some of the unique and fun things he has planned for the project. I hope you enjoy.
Tried the McCormack BdN last night , tasty. Will hold on the others I bought for a bit, but not sorry I purchased!
Might have to try one this upcoming weekend - what were your impressions?
opened a Wheeler last night - seriously good stuff, we were all impressed
Wheeler is my favorite bottle from the lineup. I was bummed I only got 2x each. Very excited to see how the 2023 vintage turns out.
Any thoughts on today’s release?
Potential first time buyer…
I went in for two of each based on recommendation of someone that I trust, I’ve yet to try one of their ones though
I’m buying again, really enjoyed the one bottle we opened so far.
Went for 3x of the California Immersion.
I liked the one bottle I’ve tried since last release, but passing on this one due to needing to cut back. But the quality is there, I’ll be a buyer again at some point.
i bought around 8 bottles. i’ve had one, was interesting.
Missed out on the Perpetual Oxidation 4.0, the others doesn’t look as interesting. I’ll wait for others’ note before buying. The last few bottles I had were lovely.
I’ve been looking for a quality domestic sparkler at a reasonable price so these seem to check those boxes. The grower style is also intriguing as well. Went with 4x of the Cali immersion and 2x of the Manley BdB.
Had the Cali immersion tonight. First note was kind of an unripe pear but after 30 minutes or so this blossomed into a nice combination of orchard and citrus fruit. Real nice mouth feel. I was super impressed and will definitely be buying more of these. Wish I had picked up a few more but wanted to try before buy a bunch. Friends that had it also really enjoyed it.
Wanted to give a quick shout out to Tom. I grabbed a couple Manley’s and Perpetuals in the spring release, foolishly leaving off the Immersion. Well, it looks like Tom snuck one if there after reaching out to see if it was a mistake. Definitely will be a repeat buyer for years to come!
Open a 2022 McCormack last night and put a stopper on and savor it for 2 days . Tropical fruits, yellow pear and citrus. Delicious but the wine goes flat pretty quickly. Does anyone have the same issue?
when you say goes flat quickly, you mean over the first night?
