My fiance has to take out a client tomorrow for a business lunch in Dupont Circle. I’m not sure it is a wine & dine type of thing, but definitely should be a good establishment and a nice meal. Where should she go?
I work right south of Dupont and there are many fine but not superlative business lunch type places in the area. If they are okay with something relatively close by–as opposed to actually in/very near Dupont–I would go with Blue Duck Tavern (in the Park Hyatt) which is more in the West End and about 6 blocks away.
In South Dupont, I like Kellari, which is a Greek(ish) seafood place on K and Connecticut that is always buzzing with suits and ties during lunch. The place at the revamped Jefferson hotel on 16th is good. There is a BLT Steak nearby, and a Morton’s at Connecticut and L. All of the hotels nearby have standard business lunch type places too–Jefferson, Hay Adams, Mayflower, St. Regis (I think).
I don’t know if there are any “business lunch” type places in North Dupont.
Thanks Ryan. I’ll pass on the information to her. We live outside the city and rarely go in except for the rare dinner. She and I both were at a loss for good lunch places.
