Burgundy vineyard maps suggestions for traveling

Every time I’m in Burgundy I kick myself for forgetting to bring detailed vineyard maps. Anyone have any suggestions for some easily portable maps for traipsing around the vineyards. I don’t really want to pack a large book. I guess I could photocopy some pages out of books, but it would be nice if there was a smallish paperback of just maps or even small sized loose maps or fold-out. Is there anything like that out there?

Not as small as you might be looking for, I have the “Touring in wine country” book, published by Mitchell Beazley. It has lots of other useful info, as well as maps of all the major communes. Out of print, but you can usually find it used on Amazon for just a few bucks.

iPhone app - Atlas Vins - kind of expensive, but worth it in terms of ease…I had it on my iPhone and iPad and it came in handy when visiting the vineyards without being a burden

Easy: get the electronic version of Jasper Morris’ Inside Burgundy, available on www.bbr.com or the iTunes store. It has the Côte de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune part of the book all his producer and village profiles and the maps which I believe are GPS enabled. I haven’t got the electronic version myself, but several visitors have had it on their ipads and they praised it very highly.

That’s great info Jeremy.
I have pdf files I printed in color and put in plastic sleeves on our last trip.

Thanks for the info and suggestions. I will persue one or more soon, as we head over the pond in just eight days. Here’s hoping we get some good weather for the vintage these next few weeks!

Wow, this looks great. And much more cost-efficient and accessible than the print book.

This is not 100% complete and not really fit for all mobile devices but free Weinlagen

This might be of use if you’re carrying a smartphone or tablet.
