This might have been brought up before but I didn’t see it, Roulot is with Kermit now?
Is there any speculation on whether or not Lafon will join?
Is this only going o drive prices higher?
Curious mind…

Ok, so I’m an idiot (nothing new) but it looks like he has been with kermit for a while…
The bottles that I have are all Beaune Imports, not Kermit. I’ve also never seen Roulot in the Kermit book here in Seattle…
The same reason you don’t see Raveneau or Coche in his book either - highly allocated and pretty much gone as soon as they arrive.
Jason…in Quebec, Canada Lafon is only available for private clients on alloction list of the importer. CdlBarre is around CA $150;Charmes at around CA $250; Perrieres at close to CA $300. Each Montrachet comes with own wooden case and it is around CA$1100.
Luckily Roulot simple village is at CA $ 79 and his only 1ieme cru Boucheres is at CA $185. Only 60 bs each are available and one needs to be lucky to get a b or 2 ( by lottery ).
Sarah,
When I said book, I should have said inventory.
I’ve noticed Coche and Raveneau in the inventory of our local distributor but never Roulot. I realize they are mostly pre sold to the allocated custome,r but our local distributor always carries about a case of each in stock whether they are on hold or not.
Also, is this the first year of his new label?
Sorry for the questions, this is the first year where I have actually seen a fair bit of it at retail and so I guess I’m finally paying attention to it.
Roulot has a few different importers.
Lafon is also direct with a few different entities, and through Le Serbet for a few others.
Roulot in the Seattle market started with Cavatappi by way of KL in late 2012 with the 2010’s.
That’s exactly what I was looking for, Thank you.
That sucks…
I haven’t checked the inventory at Vinopolis for Lafon, but the last time I was there they had 3 bottles of Montrachet by the front counter and lots of his other wines.
I originally posted because for the first time in a long time I had seen Roulot stacked up in a retailer.
Aligote $39 about 22b
Bourgogne Blanc about 24b
3 other wines at least a case of each Around $120 each.
Also I didn’t recognize the new label until I read who it was and surprised to see this new looking bottle and lots of it!
Jason,
Yes. 2011 is the first year of his new, white, label.
2011 is also the first year for his new cuvée Meursault Clos des Bouchères.
Has anyone tasted it ?
Khiem
The prices in my previous message included all taxes to support our free medicare system.
I gave up my Lafon allocation list since vintage 2010 as I do not want to drink them young, specially the 1ieme cru, but…

You’re correct the new white label was introduced in 2011, but I believe the Clos des Bouchères was first released in 2010.
In 2010 the boucheres fruit from the new purchase went into the bottling the was labeled 1er with the one off blue label with the “r” in the middle of it. Starting in 2011 that fruit went into the regular labeled boucheres bottling.
