Drinking well, Serge!
The great food and fabulous wine was only outshined by the company.
Brad’s remoulade was unbelievable! The only reason that the spicy rabbit wasn’t a bigger hit was that it was after the first 5 courses and six bottles and people could barely move to get it to their plate.
A wonderful night and great line-up!
Serge,
Thanks for sharing your notes.
I have often considered Cos Labory a “dark horse” and I’m glad it was showing well.
All the best,
Alex
I’ve had many Burgundy night to forget … but precious few to remember.
Gee Serge, I’m truly sorry about your younger years!
Outstanding evening!
Except maybe should have kept the Beringer for another time, sounds like it may have been that “one bottle too many” (is there a such thing)?
I’m still waiting for the Burg bug to bite me!! Not overly enthusiastic about Pinot in general but think I prefer Burgs to Cali Pinot. We recently had a blind tasting of 17 different Pinot’s from several regions, this was one of my favorites–Domaine Bouchard Pere & Fils Volnay Caillerets Ancienne Cuvee Carnot 1er Cru 2002
