Burgundy guys, do u know this wine?

Marc, for fifty beans it might be worth checking out. I don’t know this wine specifically, but I have had some very pleasant Marconnents from time to time. I don’t buy too many Maison Leroy wines, but I have been enjoying a few bottles of 1995 Cote de Beaune Villages and think they are exceedingly good values. I know this is from another time and place, but the 1955 Maison Leroy La Romanee was one of the greatest Burdundies I have ever drunk. You will see these wines released every so often in ten year intervals. Don’t know why this is done; i’d kinda like to know why.

I’ll add that for $50, it’s worth it.
The 2009 Bourgogne Rouge is awesome, an that’s between $40 & $50.
12 year old 1er Cru wine from Beaune is at least $40, so not a bad buy

A buy at $50 I would think.

Good to hear. Looking forward to trying mine when they arrive.

Anyone have a sense of a drinking window for the 2000 Leroy Beaune Marconnets? Assume at 18 years old it would be in it’s prime drinking window if stored properly, thoughts on this or other nearby vintages?

The bold part above is not always the case for all countries !!!
Often the domaine-bottlings have red capsules, and negociant bottlings have white ones … but I´m also not sure if this applies to everywhere …

Well, close … exactly it´s

Mis en bouteille par
LEROY - Negociants à Auxey-Meursault (Côte d´Or)

and

Mis en bouteille au Domaine
LEROY - Proprietaire a Vosne-Romanée, Côte d´Or, France

…resp.
