BRICELAND VINEYARDS

Thanks for looking. We have been participating in Berserkers Day and on the site for more than a decade. I love the community. We rely on Berserkers Day to cover our bottling expenditures at this slow time of year. Over 80% of our orders this year are from repeat customers. This extra time gives first timers a chance to give our juice a shot. Check it out. Read the comments from trusted berserkers. Check out CT reviews. All signs are, it’s safe to jump in.

Thanks for your ongoing support to all of those who have come back for more.

Deals first, story follows. An asterisk (*) indicates that the wine was made with organically farmed grapes.

Thanks for looking at our 11th annual Berserker Day offering. The Berserkers experience has been a fantastic way to connect our tiny, off the beaten path winery with true wine lovers. What a joy!

  • Edit since I originally posted… I had chosen to reduce the number of offers significantly this year, but then I got complaints/requests to have more of our offerings represented here. So, now, more choices.

Humboldt Pinots: Humboldt County Pinot Noir 6 pack (Offer #1) • $188
Two each of three Pinots, the vineyards are spread across the Southern Humboldt county. Ronda’s, located just a few miles northeast from the winery tends to yield wines of exceptional complexity and structure which are more acid than tannin driven. Phelps Vineyard is about two miles due North from the winery. It is known for surprisingly structured Pinots which take time to emerge. The 2019 Humboldt Appellation PN is a blend of Alderpoint, Phelps and Ronda’s Vineyards.

  • 2017 Humboldt Pinot Noir, Ronda’s Vineyard* (13.6% / 139 cases)
  • 2017 Humboldt Pinot Noir, Phelps (12.4% / 87 cases)
  • 2019 Humboldt Appellation Pinot (13.4% / 275 cases)

Ishi Pishi Reds (Offer #2) • $208
Ishi Pishi Ranch is a unique vineyard and this sampler allows you to a deep dive into the terroir. The cooler climate means that grapes can be picked at a lower Brix, yielding wines with higher natural acidity and lower alcohol levels. 2 each to make the 6er.

  • 2019 Humboldt Cabernet Sauvignon, Ishi Pishi Ranch (13.1% / 48 cases)
  • NV Noir d’Orleans (Bdx Blend)* (13.3% / 256 cases)
  • 2016 Humboldt Petit Verdot, Ishi Pishi Ranch* (12.8% / 98 cases)

Pink: Still & Bubbly (Offer #3) • $149
Our wines naturally tend more towards acid than tannin. The non-reds are no exception. 3 Each of two wines.

  • 2023 Humboldt RosĂ© Pet Nat of Pinot Noir, Ronda’s Vineyard* (13.1% / 74 cases / No added sulfites)
  • NV RosĂ© CuvĂ©e - Mostly Pinot, some Sangiovese plus a bit of Tempranillo* (13.2% / 110 cases)

Reds with Acid (Offer #4) • $178
These two wines share the traits of being light bodied, yet full flavored with bright red fruit and lively tartness. 3 Each of two wines.

  • 2017 Humboldt Pinot Noir, Ronda’s Vineyard* (13.6% / 139 cases)
  • 2017 Humboldt Zinfandel, Ishi Pishi Ranch* (12.3% / 96 cases)

Mendocino Reds (Offer #5) • $148
As we sit within about 15 miles of the Humboldt/Mendocino County line, we still make a few wines from Mendocino fruit. We are proud to produce these wines from Dark Horse Vineyard owned by Paul Dolan’s Family. The most mainstream of our reds, but still on the restrained side. 3 Each of two wines.

  • 2018 Mendocino Zinfandel, Dark Horse Vineyard* (13.5% / 162 cases)
  • 2018 Mendocino Syrah, Dark Horse* (13.6% / 117 cases)

Selected 12er (Offer #6) • $315

Emailed for the Preview Pack. I’ve only had the pleasure of one of Andrew’s wines, the 2018 Humboldt Co Pinot, which I thought was exceptional. I’m lucky to have found it at a local retailer. Excited to sample more!

really good wines

If I didn’t already have a case pending, I would be on top of this. I really miss your 2013 PN Reserve!

Thanks for your comments and your support!

I loved that wine too.

I’m glad this thread popped up – I was searching for it earlier. Will be placing order shortly.

To those who haven’t tried, these are very cool wines from a cooler part of California producing wines that are lower in alcohol/higher in acid. Typically the Pinots are red fruited and most of the wines have a wonderful white floral note, particularly those from Ishi Pishi Ranch.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your comment and for your ongoing support.

As per usual, in for a case.

My favorite purchase of the year!!

Hi Micheal,

Thanks for your order and your kind words about the wines.

Haven’t figured out what I’ll purchase yet, but I will. BTW, just finished my last 2015 PN Ronda’s Vineyard. Still drinking very nicely, Andrew.

Agree. I love all of Andrew’s wines. Anything from Ishi Pishi is stunning. Briceland has easily been one of my top 3 BD finds ever.

Hi Paul and Chad.

Thanks for your ongoing support. It make all the difference.

You folks have been killing it there in Humboldt for a long time! Right on!

Could not help myself this year, just emailed Andrew for two cases.

Order in via email. One of the true gems of every Berserker Day! Finding wineries like Briceland is why I love this event.

Buy with confidence! Andrew’s wines are excellent and unlike the run of the mill California stuff. Go Humboldt!
I’m working on a case order over email. You can’t go wrong, but I especially love the Zin!

Not just awesome cool climate wines, but also a beautiful place to visit, if you get the chance: Briceland Vineyards Wines anything and everything - #54 by Uli_K
