Greetings all. We’re headed to Northern Sonoma County tomorrow for a week of wine and food. In the past we’ve stayed in Healdsburg but this time we’ll be resting our weary heads in Santa Rosa. Any breakfast recommendations in or around Santa Rosa? Any thoughts are appreciated, from coffee (Flying Goat, right?) all the way to full service breakfast.
Depends on where you are staying and how far you’ll go for breakfast.
Hank’s Creekside is pretty decent and across from the Flamingo Hotel.
There’s an Omelette Express in Railroad Square (ok)
If you hit the road early, and don’t want to spend $40 on breakfast, The Singletree in Healdsburg has a great $2.95 breakfast from 7-9 (I love this place- higher quality diner food)
If heading out to the Sonoma Coast- Wild Flour Bread in Freestone opens at 8:30am (open Fri-Mon only) and has amazing sticky buns.
Thanks Hardy,
We’re staying just south of downtown Santa Rosa but no matter as we’re willing to travel a ways for good. So thanks for the tips.
We’ve got Wild Flour on our radar and hope to find an excuse to drive through Freestone, perhaps on our way back from Bodega Head. And the Singletree looks interesting as well.
Again, thanks. Any local Santa Rosa coffee/bakery type spots you’d recommend? Is Flying Goat the best? We love the Healdsburg ones.
