Brazilian Garage wine??

Can anyone offer info on Brazilian garage wine? I just recently heard the term.

I had an Amarone style Cabernet Franc from Rio Grande do Sul with Ed Motta in Rio last year that had less than 1000 bottle production and was AMAZING. Does that count?

Almost every serious winery doing top REDS in Brasil is a recent start-up so they are not cheap. Add in the fact that the dollar is shrinking like private parts in a April sea in relation to the Real and it gets worse…

I’m really curious to see if peoples’ impression of Brazilian garage wine is different after they see the movie Rio . . .
