Are there any decent bulk Rieslings available in “tetra pak” formats?
- It’s for a small Thai restaurant that might not sell a lot of wine.
- Owner doesn’t have coin to invest in a preservation system
- Can’t afford a lot of spoilage
- Customers would typically buy a glass rather than share a bottle and would not know or want to pay for Prum, Donnhoff etc
I’ve seen several out in the market but have not tasted any.
My hunch is that consumers that would buy a house Riesling are probably not terribly picky wine drinkers. I would suggest you see what’s easily found and cheap and the conduct a taste test.
Good luck.
We’ve been served the Black Box riesling and moscato at a Thai meal and they were completely quaffable. (Not oenophilic, but "bright,’ not oxidized, and nothing offensive about them.)
Grangran liked 'em well enough to buy one for her fridge.
