We’re attending a dinner this week featuring Bow and Arrow wines. No recent comments here so thought I would see if anyone is familiar with this producer.
Scott is a very good friend. And I just did a huge event at Bar Norman that he and his wife own.
With the said I think his single vineyard Pinot and Gamay wines are extremely under the radar. He is well known for his Air Guitar and Melon de Bourgogne which are excellent wines in the $20-25 range. Because of this I think people overlook the higher end wines which are also fairly priced. He trained at Cameron which for me is the pinnacle of Chardonnay and Pinot in Oregon.
His Rose is pretty stellar and a case buy for me every year.
He is also a pretty good DJ!
Just had 2022 Fools Gold which was fantastic.
My tasting note:
@Noah_C I think your note nails what I was saying.
I’ve also got their willamette valley Pinot- looking forward to giving it a try. I’ll keep an eye out for these single vineyard bottlings on your rec!!!
if you see any of these around grab one, looks like Scott is sold out but you might find a 750 or Mag around. $75 for a magnum of single vineyard Pinot!
Thanks everyone. I assume these wines will be available locally.
Alerte! Scott’s distribution company sells my wine in Oregon.
I’d be excited for a Bow &Arrow wine dinner. Enjoy!
Bumping this because Bow & Arrow should get more love here than they do.
Had the 21 Hughes Hollow pinot last night, so fresh and pure. Crazy value at $35.
The Chenin Blanc (now sold out) got a shout out yesterday from Eric Asimov on IG.
I have been telling you all this for years
