Will most ship interstate? I think locally, Half Time in Poughkeepsie N.Y. has an awesome selection. What other recommendations do you have?

Shipping beer across state lines is a little more difficult than wine. For example, it is illegal to ship beer into California, as I found out recently when I tried to set myself up to do that. It also looks like it’s illegal to ship to Washington. In addition, UPS will not ship beer. Fed Ex will.

It doesn’t look like there are any penalties to the consumer, just the the retailer.

yup! this is the only online retailer I use for beer. all my other purchases are walk-in transactions.

Seems that witha couple of exceptions, everything’s available over here. Any savinds (which there are) are obliterated by shipping rates.

I have never used them for online purchases, as I live to close to it to bother, but HiTime Wine in Costa Mesa, CA has a fantastic selection and most of it is online.

They have a couple of the Russian River beers. If they shipped to SC I’d get a few more. Those ROCK!

Hi-Times is HORRIBLE about this: every time I’m in the store (granted, not often) I find tons of inventory that was not represented online. Whomever takes care of their website either needs (1) help, or (2) a raise above minimum wage, or (3) to be fired.

yeah, the website as a whole needs to be updated. It looks like they haven’t changed it in 10+ years.
