Curious what people top napa cabs are from 2009 onward. No consideration of price, no consideration of availability or QPR, just the flat out best cabs you’ve had from that time period. Mine are a 2018 Kinsman La Voleuse du Chagrin, a 2021 VHR, and (I make the rules so this counts) a 2023 barrel sampled Abreu Madrona Ranch

Full disclosure as I really don’t drink as much Napa Cab as I used to, and have not really had any of the newer wineries that have popped up in the last decade or so. But those wines noted blew my socks off!!!

Going back only a couple of years before 2009, I really liked the 2007 Mount Eden Cabernet. But, still very young. [Yes, not Napa but it is California.]

These aren’t trophies or “win the blind tasting” heroes, but I really like the EMH Black Cat cabs. The freshness, the cool purple fruit and green herbs, the pencil lead, it’s really just in my wheelhouse.

So not Napa, not the last 15 years. 
But I agree, Mt. Eden cabs are terrific once they mature. I just put three bottles of 2017 into my storage today, and as I did, I glanced at the CT notes, several of which complain of it being too tannic, not open, not generous . . . just you wait (10 years or something).
