Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping

The rep said he’ll be in touch with their shipping to try to get it back, but suggested I refuse shipment if it makes to me and they’ll work out either a replacement or a refund (depending on stock) after that. Given the lack of a follow-up from the Monday call, I asked for confirmation in writing and got an email. I’ll keep people posted on what ultimately happens.

WHWC sale is on, some great deals out there

Despite trying hard not to buy, I took two bottles of 2018 PYCM St. Aubin for a good price.

I’m not sure if I’ve seen it noted before (in this thread), but Total Wine does occasionally have RMN, TCB, or Rakuten cashback for online purchases (including in-store same-day pickup). Top CashBack is 5.05%, but I’ve seen RetailMeNot at 10% in the past few months. Selection and prices aren’t always good at TW for higher end stuff, but there are occasionally some things worth checking out, depending on your location.

If you plan to buy something in-store, you can purchase through the website, use your TW codes, etc., and still stack cashback if you opt to pickup at the store (or get it shipped). Note that my transaction didn’t register, but I was able to get the cashback after 45 days wait through RMN.

My highest failure rate of getting cash back for wine purchases has been pairing Total Wine with TopCashBack, to the point that I will use a lower cash back offer from one of the other cash back sites rather than use TCB on TWM purchases. Just a PSA, YMMV.

TopCashBack customer service is the worst.

just got this email and thought it was a pretty unique offer:

Sotheby’s Wine is delighted to announce an exclusive offer on the “go-to” Burgundy reference book for both wine lovers and professionals, Inside Burgundy 2 by Jasper Morris MW, for a limited time only.
As part of this special offer, we are offering a FREE copy of Inside Burgundy 2 with any purchase of Burgundy wines with a subtotal of $700 or more, in any combination or quantity when you use code BRGNDYIB2 at checkout. Inside Burgundy by Jasper Morris MW is exclusively sold by Sotheby’s Wine in the United States.

They’ve got a pretty good price on '18 Fourrier Clos Sorbes if anyone needs an excuse to take advantage of that offer.

Astor has some good deals today:
2015 Chandon de Briailles Corton Bressandes $112
2022 Stephane Magnien Morey St. Denis Grains Fins $30
2021 Ridge Three Valleys $19

sharing if anyone can use this before the 8/31/24 expiration!

Gone are the days of the $50 off $150’s, etc… Le sigh.

2020 and 2021 were times to be alive. Those $50 off $150 codes were abundant!

Also, gone are the days when there was nearly a daily post here regarding WDC. I’d be fascinated to see their sales numbers in relation to the rest of the industry. I’d wager they’ve gone down worse than the industry average.
