Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping

good deals, but shipping a 6-pack to New York is coming out to $100 ground shipping.

Oh wow, that is pricey, never got that far before

VinsRare has some wines at 40% off. Code “Fortyoff.”

Grabbed a sixer of cheap party Champagne.

That 2019 Donnhoff is a decent deal

I just used toast20, 20/100, still active

WDC is offering $50 off $300 and $20 off Stewardship on the same order. Code is VIP2024 and is good through the end of January. I’m not doing it, but for anyone on the fence about Stewardship it might be worth it.

I share stewardship with my friend. Really worth it. They sent me email at the end of the year claiming I saved $500 on shipping. They also send individual discount coupons with large orders. The issue now that they excluded 80% of their inventory from discountable items.

I am at a point now where I use my amex offers on bdx eps.

What do they offer?

Varies. $10 statement back on $50 spend and $30 back on $100 spend are the common ones I get.

I assume this is hyperbole, but I don’t really notice that much more has been excluded than ever was, mostly higher end wines and especially popular Champagne. I would imagine that closer to 8% than 80% is excluded. Maybe this is location/warehouse dependent?

Might be 80% if he’s only looking at spirits and bottles over $200.

Otherwise, everything is eligible.

Hmm. I did really mean around 80% When I add bdx in my cart on most of them it says not discountable.

I would assume those are futures? I believe futures are non-discountable, though that may be mistaken.

No, futures are 2021 and 2022.

It says: “All items in your cart are in stock and can ship tomorrow.”

Or maybe they blacklisted me

I see. It seemed odd to still have 20s as futures but not impossible. You might try chatting with them. It could be a software quirk. Perhaps those listings were originally created as futures and never updated in their system. I have almost never encountered something I wished to purchase being non-discountable. I don’t buy much BDX though.

Good idea. I will call them. Otherwise it’s really hard for me to use coupons. BTW, it started few weeks go. Before that only futures were not discountable.

This is the reply I got from them:
<<Wines that end in a price of .97 are not eligible for discounting. This is typically because it is either a Champagne that does not allow it or a wine that is highly allocated or limited.>>
But looking at their inventory you were right - majority of BDX are discountable. I just have been unlucky selecting non-discountable items.

Seems like an odd and random assortment of non-discountable BDX though. Also seems like a boilerplate response to the question rather than one that is actually informed.
