Walmart seems to have dropped off, though. Thankfully, Home Depot and Lowe’s are still there, though with wdc the rest could all become moot.
If only I could get 30 percent again, even if for only a fleeting moment…

Seems a bit risky. If the coupons/deals go away, you could be stuck holding the bag with wine.com gift cards you can’t use…

Not that risky. You don’t have to choose your gift card until you are ready to use it, and you can specify the amount to the nearest dollar (edit - see correction to this a couple of posts below). So use a $54 Home Depot card here, a $212 WDC gift card there, etc. And if the coupons go away, it’s not like you can’t use the gift cards at WDC, you may just have to use them on a less advantageous deal. They are close enough to “true” pricing on enough stuff that you could always close your cards out on those.
I’d be more worried about WDC dropping out of the program like Walmart did. The CapOne gift cards are only as good as the stores where you can use them, but so far so good.

Correcting my prior post. Every Capital One Shopping gift card I’d previously redeemed at Walmart or Home Depot or Lowe’s had allowed me to pick any dollar amount I want. Looking just now at redeeming for a WDC gift card, I had to pick either 25, 50, 100, or 200, so that’s less optimal than the “choose any amount in even dollars” I thought would apply based on prior experience with gift cards to other stores. FYI.
