I wonder if they shifted inventory between warehouses. There was a ton of inventory removed from the NY warehouse on Friday. There’s no way they all happened to sell out at the same time, many of them had 120+ bottles in stock.

Same here. Like 1,000 listings in Mass. disappeared overnight a couple days ago. I have never seen that happen before.

I saw the same thing happen recently with 2018 Sassicaia and a few other wines I was tracking. 120+ bottles available one day and then the next day nothing. Also, another strange thing happening is that my WDC warehouse is NY, but some of my orders lately have been shipping from CA.

So, first Wine.com snafu in a while for me. I ordered three bottles on Monday using a 50/200 code. A red Burgundy and a couple of nice Tiberio bottles to get me to the coupon threshold. They Just billed me for the one Burgundy and shipped the single bottle last night. They still applied a discount, but it totally lessens the value of the deal. I’m basically getting the Burgundy for more than what should have been the cost of the three bottles ordered.
I hate when they do arbitrary stuff like this.

I’ve had great success in using the chat box. Explaining the situation which often resulted in a $50 gift card or a similar coupon with a one use code.

Same, I seem to get the best results from the chat box. Almost always get a $50 gift card or single use 20/50 coupon through the chat box.

Turns out I got logged out and it switched me to the NY warehouse. However, on switching back to CO shipping there was a pretty substantial dump of CA wine. Noting Kurt L’s comment, there were 120 bottles of 2020 Donnhoff Oberhauser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett available about a week ago and now they’re all gone. Either one of you beat me to the punch or something weird happened.

Apparently I’m getting some of this weirdness on my orders as well. They’ve been doing this on and off for months. Same inventory to multiple areas. The reps can’t figure it out either.

For that code, is that one that Rakuten honors? Because they give a hassle sometimes about using promo codes right?

I’ve never had an issue with Rakuten, whether they honor or not is kind of a toss up based on other notes here.

FWIW, I had the 50foryou promo code applied to my cart from a few days ago but never pulled the trigger. Code was supposed to expire yesterday, but still showed up in my cart and still went through. Combined with the Rakuten 10%, it ended up being another great value for 2x 2016 Domaine de Chevalier ($90) and 1x 2018 Capbern ($30).

$160 before taxes and any Rakuten cash back. The 2016 DdC was the same price as K&L - after all promos, that puts the DdC to around $59+ pre-tax. That’s identical to the EP price back in 2017. (using today’s Euro to USD rate).

Agree on DDC 18 - paid well less than my futures buys after discounts and cash back. Today I saw WDC had Leoville Poyferre 2016 at $120. Beautiful wine and great price after coupon and cash back. Cheers.

Sadly the 2018 DdC sold out on the west coast before the $50 off $200 coupon dropped. Eyes peeled for it returning… but 2016 is a nice consolation and might be the longer ager when all is said and done. Nearly have a vertical or DdC from 2014-2020 at this rate.
