Ah, ok. Not the end of the world; picked up a Sassicaia from the NY shop for ~$155 shipped combining the amex offer, the $30 off code someone else posted above, and a $5 Rakuten cash back offer.
Suburban Wines is having a one day sale - “Every in-stock still wine (that is not already on sale) priced over $99 can be had for 25% off. That’s right - 25% off! Simply use the promotion code FEB21 and the 25% discount will be added to your shopping cart automatically.”
I just stacked the RMN 10% discount with code P50AM ($50 off 150), and Stewardship to grab a bottle of Laurent Perrier Grand Siecle Iteration 24. I had to add a Segura Viudas Cava for $9.99 to get me over the $150 mark, and will get both bottles for under $108 including shipping. If anyone is new to Wine.com, I can post my a $30 off referral code for new users.
FYI P50AM now shows 4/30 expiration on the banner. I don’t know how much stock to put into that, if they can change the date in one direction no reason they can’t reverse course?
Know that the MAX cash back you can get from RMN on a Wine.com deal is $50. Not sure if this is a new thing but I just found out on a very large purchase.
This is correct. I know it’s not exactly convenient since the content is spread throughout this very long thread, but most or all of these “catches” are discussed somewhere upthread. Depending on the order, your coupon codes, etc. you can sometimes solve this problem by placing more than one order. Even if placed on the same day, you can place two $250 orders during a 20% cash back offer and get $50 on each, as opposed to one $500 order which will just get you $50 once. BUT there’s a limit of 7 transactions per merchant per month.
I have seen some of their coupons (only those with lower discount percentages) also have no max - like “10% off on any order over $200.” So if I were in the market for $600 bottles of wine, which I’m not, I could see using a coupon like that on a RMN 20% off day (if I didn’t know about the $50 max) to buy a $600 bottle.
