I’ve checked the sites of most retailers I buy from regularly and haven’t seen anything that leaps out. Has anyone found any sales worth bringing to the board’s attention?
Sans Liege, which is a nice up-and-coming Central Cost winery, is offering free shipping on purchases of six or more. Great value wines. Definitely on the bigger side, but not totally over the top. The Offering and the Groundwork Grenache really perform well above price point at >$25 each. The Groundwork at $16/bottle for club members is a no-brainer, super QPR and we jumped at another case of each with the free shipping.
2011 Oreno at WL for $39.99 is pretty strong…
Cameron Hughes having 30% off
Cliff Lede is offering their 2010 Claret for half-price: $45 down to $22.50/bottle. I’ve had it and I wouldn’t pay $45 for it, but it’s a great deal for $22.50.
Grand Vin Wine Merchants, as part of their Cyber Monday sale, discounted 2007 Chateau Rieussec by $0.70! (from $79.69 to $78.99). Also 2004 Dom Perignon was marked down by $1.00! That was after giving a preview on Friday of wines that were to be on sale, but not revealing the sale prices until last night at midnight, “because the prices were going to be too low”.
They do have some other things on sale (nothing really compelling for me), but I thought those two were a bit funny. Why bother? Their sale last year was decent, but this one seems to be a dud.
Noceto is having a sale but I’m not sure what it is yet.
Saratoga Wine Exchange has free shipping on cases mixed or otherwise. That combined with Bill Boykin’s recco of Kim Crawford Spit Fire SB on another thread…weakened my resolve.
I’ll wait until its confirmed.
Sold out, unfortunately.

WTSO is doing a Cyber Monday Magnum Marathon

FranksWine in Wilmington, DE is having a Champagne blow-out to celebrate their 28th Anniversary- all Champagnes are 28% off.
I picked up a couple of 2010 Barolos, and am pondering the Oreno offer.
Too busy with work to pay much attention (finally getting to my lunch break)
The 20% off list at Italian Wine Merchants gets a few items down to reasonable-ish prices. I’m mainly looking for discounts on older fine wine rather than young daily drinkers if anyone’s seen leads on that front. A few years ago JJ Buckley used to let you buy up to 3 $50 gift cards for $25 each, and had a holiday sale on top of that, which led to some absolutely fantastic bargains…but I guess they’ve realized they were being a little too generous.
I’m liking this.

So far today, I have received 26 emails offering “Cyber Monday” specials. Not a single one has been compelling enough to place an order. The majority are their standard offerings with some discount on shipping.
yeah, deals have been underwhelming to say the least. Yesterday’s PC email had 2002 Pol Roger Brut for $59, which was a pretty sweet deal (and in stock). Other than that, I have bought nothing
20% off at astor is always legit.
Wow, Cameron Hughes raised prices for Cyber Monday!
I don’t know if this is a best deal, but I just bought some Chardonnay from Patz & Hall for 20% off and free shipping. I’ve bought so much Pinot Noir/Zinfandel/Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah lately, that I had to make some sort of gesture to my wife.
Not liking the $30 shipping. No pick-up option.
