Curious as to why Hermitage La Chapelle is not being talked about.

  1. First rule of Fight Club is that you DONT TALK ABOUT FIGHT CLUB

  2. Second rule of Fight Club is that FU BUYS IT ALL BEFORE YOU CAN GET TO IT.

  3. Third rule of fight club is that prices will rise 30-50% per year until either (a) all the producers die/retire or (b) Fu loses interest and moves on to Priorat (so hot right now) :wink:

And Hermitage has been expensive for years, whereas Cornas, St Jo and even CR were relatively underpriced for the quality (until wine geeks started bidding up Gentaz and such). Same reason no one is talking about Chave Hermitage or LaLa’s.

Thanks to Fight Club getting all geeky, the Hermitage la Chapelle is actually cheaper than some of the Cornas’

As for the 2015, it reminds most who have tasted it of the great vintages, and can still be found south of $300, maybe the Fight Club should widen its horizons. To be honest, not tasted it, but bought half a case on a friend’s recommendation, who poor sod, has a similar palate to mine.
