Kelley Fox is flat out one of my favorite winemakers in all of the Willamette Valley. If you tried the 2004 The Eyrie Vineyards Reserve Pinot Noir or any of the Scott Paul wines that have been getting such great press lately, then you know what Kelley’s style is all about. No nonsense, low alcohol and minimal intervention are her trademarks.
I have worked out a deal with Kelley on the remaining handful of cases of her 2007 Momtazi Vineyard Pinot Noir. She made 133 cases of the Momtazi and it clocks in at a very nice 13% alcohol. It’s made with Dijon 113 and 115 clones from one of Mo Momtazi’s prized blocks of biodynamically farmed fruit.
It normally sells for 39.00 a bottle. While supplies last, Berserkers may get it for 26.00 a bottle. Folks, that’s pretty much the original wholesale price. I am also perfectly willing to hold any wine purchased until spring if you live in a colder area of the country.
