Incredible results!
Put a little butter in the bottom tray.
We put the trays in the dishwasher to clean.
Like brand new.
Made burnt broccoli also.
Very happy!
Warming drawer to 130 and then propane torch or vice versa. Much, much, much cheaper and the exact same result if one already has a more multitasking warming drawer.
Agreed. Exact same method except I have a more multipurpose warming drawer already. Do not need to go to the extra expense to buy a sous vide machine or BEEFER.
Advantage of warming drawer or other dry heat method is that you’re able to evaporate more moisture off of the surface before searing. In my experience sous vide following by paper towels to blot dry and either torch or pan sear doesn’t yield as nice a crust as reverse sear method.
After sitting unpacked in the foyer for 3 weeks, finally unpacked it and put it to work. Took a lot longer than a minute to get my steak to medium. Yeah, the char is great, but for me 1 minute will just give you black and blue.
Also there is piece of metal L shaped that does not fit anything. Any ideas?
No, that is not it. The burger and pizza extras do not come with it. You get the machine, the propane connector, 2 drip trays, 2 grilling trays, one handle, one propane knob, and this additional piece I can’t figure out.
My brother-in-law got a Roccbox pizza oven and brought it to the tailgate on Sunday. Looks like it’s the same idea as the Beefer but designed for pizza. It takes perhaps 2 minutes. Results are excellent. I was too busy with ribs, brisket and seared tuna on the grill so I did not try the oven on anything else.
