From that video, it looks like the sear is a bit inconsistent across the steak. Less evident towards the open front of the Beefer.
why the Beefer over the Inferno? Same specs and $400+ cheaper for the latter.
I like the look.
Overall looks like higher quality.

I respect and honor the inventors who had this great idea and pay more. In addition I like the pure design of the Beefer and of course Made in Germany.
We make our living by designing office chairs for Herman Miller (Cosm&Setu&Mirra&Mirra2), so I can`t find it funny when people buy a knock-off.

Inferno also made in Deutschland. I am sure patents were respected. Who knows which was first? Do you? Maybe Beefer is the knockoff.

Beefer was clearly the first. They released the first model in 2014.
Anyway, you are more or less happy with your gadget, besides cleaning, that’s fine.
As you noticed ALDI will sell a kind of BEEFER at the end of the week for 149 Euro. It received good reviews.

line drip pan w foil and keep it low so the drippings don’t evaporate. Makes cleaning easier.
Again, I would use the drippings for a sauce. Here is a video from 2014 from the first Beefer, meanwhile updated, with the most famous cook in Germany right now, Tim Mälzer, who makes a little butter&herbs&garlic sauce and additionally I would add the drippings of the meat.
