I hate to post these kinds of things, but if it helps others, I think it is important. I have been getting the run around from PJ wines. 09 was my first time buying futures from them. A mixed case of 09 futures, nothing really high end. The wines were supposed to be in last Fall. When I never heard from them, I called and was told there was a delay and to call back in a few months.
I called back in early February and was told all but one were in. An hour later I got a call saying that they were actually all in. As the weather was warm, I asked if they could ship now and was told they would ship out next Monday (and I would get an email). Monday came and went. I called mid-week and was told it was too cold to ship on Monday. That seemed reasonable. I was told they would go out that day. The following Monday, I had not heard, so I called again. I was told they didn’t go out Monday because it was too cold. I asked why they didn’t go out Wednesday but they did not know.
I asked again if it could go out that day. Sure, no problem. Of course, the wines did not ship, so I called back on Friday. I was told the original shipment did not go out on the original day as it was too cold. They did not mention the other three ship dates. I asked if it could go out that day. I was told yes, but they preferred not to ship on Fridays. I said fine, please ship out on Monday.
Of course, it never shipped on Monday. It was getting harder to reach the shipping department. They never returned my messages, so I sent an email. I was told they didn’t ship out three weeks prior as it was too cold. They didn’t mention why it wasn’t shipped during the interim. At this time they also said they needed a credit card to ship. This was the first time they asked me for that. One wonders how they could have possibly shipped all of those other times without the credit card. Apparently they did not include shipping on the original order. I said use the same card as I wouldn’t email the number. That was not acceptable, so I will call later today.
Their communication is terrible. I am getting the run around for no reason. I will never buy from them again including in stock orders. This should not be that complicated.
