Dear WineBerserkers,

Greetings from Northern California!

West of Temperance is pleased to be participating in BerserkersDay X and it’s a great honor for us to be here with you once again on this tenth anniversary!

A huge thank you to the WineBerserker community and Todd and his team for putting this together…

Congratulations on ten years of BerserkersDay!

In small batches utilizing low intervention winemaking practices, we produce limited production, premium handcrafted California wines which ring true to the terroirs of our favorite vineyard sites.

We specialize in Italian varietals including Aglianico, Fiano, Sangiovese and Teroldego, all from single vineyards sourced throughout California.

The West of Temperance team consists of two people: Brian Ojalvo (Founder & Winemaker); and John King (Founder & Winemaker).

John and I started West of Temperance in 2013 out of sheer love for wine and together the two of us run all winery operations including harvesting grapes, truck driving, vineyard management, fermentation management, bottling, marketing, sales and more. We even make our own deliveries local all over the San Francisco Bay Area! We pride ourselves on being independent and a true DIY operation in every sense of the word.

In early 2019 we moved our wine production to Sonoma County. After careful consideration and a detailed market analysis, we decided upon Gravity Wine House as our new home base and we could not be happier! The facility and team at Gravity Wine House is top shelf, world class and we invite you to come visit us next time you are in Sonoma County!

For more information please visit www.westoftemperance.com and don’t forget to have a look at our wine fact sheets at www.westoftemperance.com/fact-sheets for more specific wine details and general information. We are always making updates to our website so don’t forget to bookmark us for future reference!

Several of the wines you will find in our BerserkerDay X offerings were produced in very limited quantities including a couple of wines which only saw 20 cases or so. Due to the scarcity of these wines we are limiting many of the offerings to a first come, first served basis and also placing limits on the amount of available inventory.

An early glimpse at what you will see on January 27th are packages which will include our first white wine produced under the West of Temperance label - a 2017 Fiano from the Due Ponti Vineyard in Santa Clara Valley. A mountain farmed, high altitude Sangiovese from the famed Eaglepoint Ranch in Mendocino County - an amazing vineyard, the Sangiovese vines were grafted over to Brunello clones in the 1970’s!

In very limited quantities, we will offer Aglianico and Teroldego verticals. Needless to say, we are very excited to share these packages with you. Our first high elevation, old vine, dry farmed mountain Carignane will be for sale from the magnificent Poor Ranch in Hopland.

Thank you for your support over the past several years. We are grateful for the very warm welcoming we have received from this community, the friends we have made and for your ongoing interest in our brand, West of Temperance.

It is now our time to show you our thanks by giving back and offering these special one-of-a-kind packages exclusively for the WineBerserker community.

For those of you who are new to West of Temperance, welcome! We look forward to serving you and the WineBerserkers community at large!

See you on January 27th!

Thank you!

Cheers,

Brian Ojalvo

I just read the thread from last year. Looks like I missed out. That won’t happen this year.
