In my pantry there’s been this horrendous bottle of non-brand Banana Liquor staring at me for the last 8 years. Gifted by someone who clearly doesn’t know me well 
Anyway, I wondered what to do with the sorry thing, so googled some cocktails. Seems like the Banana Daiquiri was the easiest option.
In a blender I put:
Ice
1pt Dark Rum
1pt White Rum
1pt Malibu Cream
2pt Banana Liquor
dash of maple syrup
dash of cream
juice form an entire lime
Blended. And lo and behold, all of a sudden a little bit of the tropics came to my cold house! Sweet and sickly of course, but rather good for just one drink. Suddenly, these classic ads came to mind:
