This blend highlights the highly diverse characteristics from several of the distinct Pinot Noir vineyards we worked with in 2012, including fruit from the Ribbon Ridge (Armstrong Vineyard), Yamhill-Carlton (Luminous Hills) and Chehalem Mountains (Lia’s Vineyard) AVAs. Where our regular Willamette Valley Pinot is a broad expression of all our vineyards, and our single vineyard designates are deep focused expressions of single sites, the Special Reserve is about making the most complete, complex, layered, textured wine we can, drawing upon the very best material from the fine vineyards we source from.
