Reel in the easy money then squeeze what you can from the remainder? If you are someone who just buys right away without thought then you’d probably never even know you didn’t have to buy the initial minimum if one just waited.
I was the ez money and ordered my 7 min, just logged back in and my new min is 6 additional!
In for a couple each of Lauren, CIX, and Sugar Shack to hit the 6 bottle min.
Looked at my allocation. Looks like the Larry & Hyde is sold out (or allocation pulled due to enough wish list requests). Wonder what the case production was on that wine. Lauren and CIX typically sell out first but I still have the same quantity to purchase since release day.
My minimum order has been reduced from 7 to 6 and now to 4.
But shipping for 4 bottles is only $1 cheaper than shipping 7 bottles. $70 vs $69.
With tax and shipping, a $100 bottle goes to $130.5. A $125 bottle goes to $158.8.
I guess I’m still passing. $17 a bottle shipping bugs me.
Just received an intro offer with access to UV-SL Chardonnay, Eastside Chardonnay and Russian River Pinot. Minimum 6 bottle order. I was really hoping for just 4 (since Realm is today too) so we’ll see if it moves at all.
FWIW two weeks ago, my friend opened a bottle of 2019 Hyde that was clearly oxidized. He’s been on the list many years and never had a bad bottle like that before. He sent them an email and they quickly credited him back for the bottle. Good to see that
I had a 2019 Hyde last week and it was great. Glad to hear they stood behind the flawed one, though.
My minimum moved to 3, but unfortunately the Eastside sold out before it did. Ended up ordering 2 UV-SLs and 1 RR Pinot for my first Aubert order as those were my only 2 options.
They’re all great wines, so I don’t think you’ll regret it (unless you don’t like the style). I didn’t stop buying because I dislike the wine; just that I already have too much and am cutting back overall.
