Atlanta folks, what’s the going rate for wine storage?

Looking to store a couple hundred bottles with room to grow but not trying to pay what would effectively be the cost of a large wine fridge over the course of a year.

Very happy with Buckhead Wine Cellars. Many here would concur

So, what’s the going rate?

I 2nd Buckhead wine cellars I used them back in 18 and 19 it was $100 for two 9 case basic (no racking) lockers if I recall correctly. You should contact them for rates they’ll give you a quote. They’re great for shipping as they’ll accept delivery and let you store in their box room for 30 days at no charge, don’t know if that’s standard for other offsite storage facilities.

Depends on how big a locker you need. It’s self service charged by space, not how much wine. The bigger the locker, the less you pay per bottle essentially.

I have a big locker now, but years ago I had a 40 case and that was $294 per quarter. Prices have gone up since then, but that gives you an idea. For a couple hundred bottles, if you have the space at your house, a wine fridge is definitely a better deal, especially if you can find one used as they usually sell for pennies on the dollar (notwithstanding the current offer in CC in Atlanta, which are comically priced IMO).

Like Buckhead - one caveat is they are no longer in Buckhead! Gabby is a sweetheart - nice peeps to deal with.

So, I ended up just ordering a LanboPro this morning. I know it won’t really hold 164 bottles, but it’s a start at getting my best bottles under temp and humidity control so they’ll age properly. Anyone have any experience with these units? They’re only $820 on Walmart.com.

Hi, I haven’t used that one. I have used Wine Enthusiast 500-Bottle Single Zone Wine Vault and Eurocave for one year now and both are good. Let me know if you want to purchase either off of me. I live in Decatur.
