or wine publications, or is it now mostly Instagram/ Facebook? I enjoy reading Vinography once in a while .
Blogs are nice (if you can find 'em). I don’t normally read them, but usually run across them when searching for something.
Yes I read blogs.

The question should be “Is anyone still writing blogs?” I keep waiting for new posts from Elevage, the Vulgar Little Monkey Translucency Report, and 750ml.
People still volunteer to be sold and manipulated on Facebook?
I really like this one:
I almost never read blogs unless directed to specific posts elsewhere. I can’t say I’m against them, but I never bent my eye toward them when they became popular. And I’ve met numerous ex-bloggers after the fact, oblivious to their blogging past.
Ironically I met Alder at a wine dinner in NYC last year just before the pandemic lockdown hit. We sat next to each other and had a nice conversation, started following each other in Instagram. He was under the Instagram name Vinography and has a great photographic eye. I never followed the link under his bio. Until earlier this week, I had no idea he had a long-standing blog. Then he posted this:
An old DC-3/C-47 you can tell from the nose. The wide door indicates it was a cargo craft. My first airplane flight was in a TWA DC-3 some time ago.
And would you believe w/ the meals, they handed out a small 6-pack of LuckyStrike cigarettes & you were allowed to smoke in flight??
Does that date me?? Nawwwhhhh!!
Tom
FWIW, that looks like a photo of the DC-3 that crashed on the southern coast of Iceland.
We all know that you have followed airplanes “from the very start.”
Not really and I have a wine blog. I look at Cellar Tracker and posts on here about wine. I really miss the industry events where you can try the wines for yourself!!!

Facebook killed them.
I read several blogs/feeds every day using Feedly…very little about wine, though. I enjoy the RSS for CellarTracker tasting notes on my wines. Haven’t ever joined FB/IG/MySpace/etc.

Interesting. I read that post last week. I looked you up on IG and found out I am following your account. LOL
Facebook killed them.
You may be right about that
