Anything worthwhile in Ramona Valley SoCal?

We drove home through the Ramona Valley area on the way home from a day trip to Julian and saw more than two dozen wineries (a few with large buildings under construction) along the way. I knew there were wineries there but was especially surprised at the number and new ones. Is there anything there worth visiting? I mean relatively speaking.

Pie

No experience with wine there.

It was at best a VERY long shot that anyone here would be, but I thought I’d see if there was an outlier.

Might get some other responses, I hope. Funny, we just drove through there up to Julian, after christmas last year. Hadn’t been up there in decades, but it was fun to sightsee, and had a good brunch in Julian. I’m a big fan of Julian Pie Co., best pies around

Not much experience in Ramona Valley but had a good experience in Escondido at j. brix and Vesper about five years ago.

Most of the new winery construction we saw was on a narrow road that has a whole lot of hairpin turns. My wife’s thought was wine tasting could be highly problematic there.

A few years ago we stumbled across a tiny Escondido winery, run by a young couple with deep roots in SD County grape growing, that did some pretty good stuff. It’s had a few names (Vesper at one point) and I’m not sure where it is now. Sometimes lightning does strike.
