Anything from 1946?

Longshot, but anyone got anything drinkable and inexpensive from 1946. Father in-law’s 70th. I know that a ton of sub $100 Rivesaltes hit the market about a year ago but not seeing much of that around (although I don’t have WS pro these days since I’m in a buying freeze). Thought maybe someone from the board might have something like that they’d be willing to part with.

I’ve got some, but finding it may be problematic.
How about this ;
Blanchard’s Wine & Spirits
USA (MA): Marshfield.

1946 Riveyrac Rivesaltes 1976 $ 84.99 Bottle ex. sales tax

Thanks for the help, don’t think MA retailers can ship but I’ll definitely look into it.

1946 Chateau Mosse Rivesaltes is awesome if you can find it.

+1 on the '46 Rivesaltes. You could try to contact JOn Rimmerman to see if he has more. It is around.

The Mosse is available from a place in CA in case the MA store that has it won’t ship. The CA price is a little high, but it’s still a great deal for the quality and age of the wine.

The only interesting (old but not senescent) 1946 Bordeaux I had, 2 weeks ago : Mission Haut-Brion 1946 (but the MHB 1953 served beside was dead).

The 1946 Mosse is a stellar wine…snap it up while it’s still affordable given the quality…I would only expect the price to continue to rise.
