This is spot on - the advantage of this system is greater protection from the moment I put the glass down (straight into the rack) to the moment I store at away in cupboard ready for next use.
I bought replacement dishwasher wheels from ebay. Some dishwashers have model-specific wheels which lock into a groove at the back - if thatâs the case just swap the wheels with originals from the front of one of the other trays.
You stack them in the dishwasher? I wouldnât think there would be enough water flow around the compartments to wash the glasses if theyâre stacked. Or are you just talking about stacking for storage?
I think he means that you can layer how high you want the compartments to go for protection.
His photo has a base and then 5 gray layers.
Ah! Got it. I misread that.
Miele has tall glass racks installed in model we own. The glasses come out spotless.
I found some racks on FB Marketplace and was all set to purchase the wheels like Chris when a free Bosch lower rack showed up there. And the rack fits in the rack! Almost as serendipitous as finding that original priced Premier Cru on the bottom shelf. A few minutes with the angle grinder and viola!

The blue rack is a Bosch rack?
He angled off the tines of the lower rack (that fits his model) so he could fit the blue rack and still keep his original.
No- the blue rack is by Carlisle, found it on FB Marketplace. The dishwasher rack is a spare Bosch one I found for free on FB Marketplace. They just happen to work very well together.
Iâm going to a dinner tonight, 8 of us, probably 24 glasses being used. The host sends me a message: âUm, Jim. Is that dishwasher rack portable? Can you bring it tomorrow and I can see if it fits?â ![]()

Thatâs awesome. Do you know the exact dimensions of the glass rack? I also have a Bosch, so I think this could work for me (if you wouldnât mind sharing your model number, that would be great, too).
I measure 19 5/8 square. Height is 10 5/16. It might have extensions on it to raise the height, I know they are an option with a few, but I haventâr explored this one to see if the seams are from casting or actual separate parts yet.

Thanks for this and the model number, much appreciated!
I have an ASKO dishwasher. I purchased a Carlislie RG9-3C410 glass rack from Amazon. It fit perfectly width wise but was a little too long. I cut off the front and end and it fits perfectly. ![]()
this may do the trick. I already ordered the Carlisle one but this says its a Miele one. Pity there are no pics of it in the dishwasher but may be worth a shot for folks.
I have a Bosch Eolution 800 series SHE68P05UC/63 dishwasher that is probably 15 years old now. My Vollrath TR6BBBB Traex glass racks (standard size) do not fit in it. There is a vertical water supply tower for the upper wash arm and top down spray that the rack hits and wonât allow the door to close. These racks hold 25 Riedel 0489/0 stems perfectly and allow me too stack the racks 7 high on a rolling dish rack dolly. I also have a GE dishwasher in our guest apartment and the racks donât fit in it either. I also have a Miele dishwasher from our other house that I salvaged and may see if the rack fits in there. It would be so much better to be able to wash racks of glasses at home easily.
Can you recommend wheels and some tips to fix them to the crate. PLEASE
I didnât use wheels - I bought an entire lower rack for my DW off FB marketplace. Cut off the tines with a Dremel and the rack dropped right in.
