Anyone pulling the trigger on RWC Conterno wine glass offer?

I like that one Keith. Looks kind of like a Glencairn glass for Burgundy.

Fabulous glasses for Barolo and white and red Burgs. We use them daily.

Love them as well. Note, however, that this has been the price for a while. I’ve bought several over the last year. Always at this same price (including the overnight shipping).

I have four of them and love them. They are durable…I mean bounce off the wood coffee table durable. I have four, and while I do not need four more…have thought about buying the four pack for ā€œback-upsā€ should I ever break them. I use the Grassl liberte for whites…they’re equally indestructible.

The Conterno Sensory is the perfect Burg or Nebbiolo or perhaps even Bordeaux glass. Noticeably smaller than the Zalto Burg, which seems clumsy in comparison, the Conterno offers pretty much all of the benefits of shape with less total volume.

I wash them all the time in the dishwasher, none broken so far…

Really soon!

Just took delivery of a six pack. Wow, these are beautiful glasses. And I love the fact they are not as tall, and light with such a tailored shape. Can’t wait to put one to use!!

Thanks for the nudges!!

I’ve been using them for all the wines I taste for the past three years. I love that the stem is not too tall and the delicate bend in the tulip.
Roberto Conterno also just released a sparkling wine glass.

If that is the Glasvin Obsession, I think it is coming out in January, although you can order it now (as I did the other day).

I like my Conterno glasses, although I find the Conterno a little difficult to maneuver with a full pour in it.

Have used about a dozen times now with a cross section of different reds of various maturities–burg, barolo, beaujelais, syrah off the top of my head–and right now it is my go to glass for any red. I don’t know how to explain it but it just works wonderfully for everything I’ve put in it thus far. I am going to start to try still whites out of it next. Very pleased and impressed.

The only thing it hasn’t worked for is anything too alcoholic, like port/Barolo chinato, etc. I also don’t use it for champagne, but I hear others do.

That’s really funny it not working for Barolo!

I am drinking a secret de schistes 2015 syrah in it right now. Never tried the wine before but it is a big boy 15.5% syrah that I’m guessing saw a lot of wood. Not my preferred style of wine, but very well made and the wine tastes surprisingly fresh and vibrant and focused from the Conterno, even at that elevated alcohol level. It works for sure.
