Anyone have a large format decanting cradle?

Hi Guys,
Does anyone own one of these? Looking to open a 9 liter or a 12 liter. Would pay handsomely in wine or a rental fee.

Here’s one for under $10,000: http://www.castellodiamorosa.com/product/Grand-Large-Format-Decanting-Cradle

Hope that helps. [berserker.gif]

Yes, I read that as “under ten bucks”. Oops.

That’s what they cart you in after a few bottles of Aubert Chard, eh?

Use a syphon and decanters

I only marinate with that stuff ! [wow.gif]

I imagine there’s some sort of BDSM gear that you could rejig… and it’d probably be a bit cheaper than 10k…

Its Champagne.

Not exactly, with the popularity of 50 Shades, prices have skyrocketed! [wow.gif]

How are you going to cool it down? A garbage bin with ice would somewhat lower the impression!

Have done tonnes of times with reds, using a fish tank water siphon (new), which you squeeze and it pulls up the wine, and into a decanter. Otherwise, for show, you’d need to do across the corner of a counter, with the neck held in place there by someone. At least that way you’d be able to keep the wine cool and everyone could still see their glass being poured.

If you want to get creative, maybe use a TRX strap?

Would love to see the photos!

For a special occasion perhaps?

Probably would still work if its young- can’t hurt to try

Use a racking cane to siphon it out: http://www.morebeer.com/search?search=racking

Start the siphon, then use a clamp on the hose to regulate the flow and dispense a glass at a time: Siphon Clamp | MoreBeer

I have used a syphon with a nebuchadnezzar of champagne and and it worked well. I asked our neighbourhood in for a “single bottle” cocktail party. It was a blast.

Anthony - brilliant! Milk thistle beforehand? @

Ask a larger winemerchant you do business with. You can lend it.
Have fun.
