$150 + tax and shipping. Oh my!
3 bottles in November for $36-no thanks!
That seems like a value . . . $360?
Guess I’ve been fully dropped after one year of not ordering. Oh well . . . liked the wine at more reasonable prices.
I had several pours over the course of an hour last night from a bottle of the 2018 Cirq (note below). Gorgeous wine. Everything was dialed in, the wine was dynamite. I know the wine is expensive but the quality is certainly here. FWIW, we also had a mag of the 2018 Chev RRV and the 2021 Domaine Della. I thought the 2018 mag was fine, maybe a bit on the stewed side (I may have been alone in this assessment) but I thought the Domaine Della was very good, too. Oh, and some of the 2020 Cirq Chardonnay. Kind of a contrast in that it had a flinty, very expressive aromatic that was fantastic, and yet the texture seemed weighty to me, perhaps affected by either the ripeness or the oak (which I understand is more mild in terms of usage).
- 2018 Cirq Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (1/27/2024)
Opened and finished in an hour. Gorgeous. Crushed raspberry and strawberry with a thread of light vanilla, sitting in a beautiful structure. Balance is spot on, oak is suited really well. This is classy.

There was a lot of Chev and Cirq on the dinner table!
I like the 18 Cirq too. I’d give the nod to the 2021 Domain Della Earl PN
